The Lawrence Apple Users' Group 2.0 will be having a meeting entitled "Making Digital Memories last...making memories last digitally " Wednesday, August 6th , 7pm at Van Go Mobile Arts 715 New Jersey Street in Lawrence. We'll have a outstanding guest that will helps us to understand the challenges of preserving digital photos and other media for future generations, and understand how you can use digital technology to protect and preserve crumbling photos and documents. This will be truly an amazing meeting. Angie Brunk will be presenting. She's a former member of the group that has moved away. Angie's presented this topic and it's ideal for beginners and experts because it's all about the proper ways to protect your digital pictures and documents. Which lasts longer: a photo printed on photo paper, a photo printed from an inkjet printer, or a photo saved on CD? The answer may surprise you, it did me.
We have moved our meeting location to Van Go Mobile Arts. For more information about them go here, Their mission seems very compatible with ours and they are Mac focused.
